Tadalafil tablets

Tadalafil is the generic version of Cialis®, a prescription treatment for erectile dysfunction (ED). Like Viagra, it belongs to a group of medications called PDE5 inhibitors — but what sets it apart is its longer duration of action, with effects lasting up to 36 hours.

Tadalafil is available in two main formats:

• Tadalafil 36 Hour (10 mg or 20 mg), taken as needed
• Tadalafil Daily (2.5 mg or 5 mg), taken once per day

Cialis® and generic Tadalafil are medically identical in quality, strength, and effect — the main difference is cost.

Tadalafil works by relaxing the blood vessels in the penis, allowing better blood flow during sexual arousal. This helps men achieve and maintain an erection.

Unlike Viagra, which lasts around 4–6 hours, Tadalafil can work for up to 36 hours. It does not cause an erection without sexual stimulation.

Tadalafil 36 Hour (10 mg or 20 mg):

• Take one tablet 30 to 60 minutes before sex
• Only take when needed — not more than once in 24 hours
• Works with or without food (may work more slowly with a heavy meal)

Tadalafil Daily (2.5 mg or 5 mg):

• Take one tablet at the same time every day
• Works continuously — no need to plan around sexual activity
• Best taken consistently for full benefit

Dosing tips:

• Start at 10 mg (36 Hour) or 5 mg (Daily)
• Reduce or increase based on effectiveness and side effects
• Do not exceed one dose per day

Tadalafil works in around 85 percent of men with erectile dysfunction. With the Daily version, effectiveness builds over time with consistent use.

Some men prefer Tadalafil over Sildenafil due to its longer duration and fewer reports of nasal or stomach-related side effects.

Tadalafil should not be used if you:

• Have had a recent heart attack or stroke
• Have severe heart, liver, or kidney disease
• Have low blood pressure or uncontrolled hypertension
• Take nitrates (e.g. GTN spray), riociguat, or certain alpha-blockers
• Are allergic to tadalafil or similar medications

Consult your doctor if you’re unsure whether it’s safe for you.

Avoid combining Tadalafil with:

• Nitrates (used for chest pain)
• Alpha-blockers (unless advised and timed correctly)
• Other ED medications — this increases risk of side effects
• Excess alcohol — may reduce effectiveness and cause dizziness or blood pressure drops

Tadalafil is generally well tolerated and may cause fewer side effects than other ED treatments.

Common side effects include:

• Headache
• Muscle or back pain
• Indigestion
• Facial flushing
• Nasal congestion
• Dizziness
• Blurred or abnormal vision

Seek urgent medical help if you experience chest pain, an erection lasting longer than 4 hours (priapism), or severe allergic reactions.
