Mounjaro® Injectable pen

• Administration: Inject Mounjaro® once weekly, on the same day each week, using the pre-filled KwikPen. The pen is user-friendly, and the needles are designed for minimal discomfort.
• Injection Sites: Administer the injection subcutaneously in the abdomen, thigh, or upper arm, with or without food. Rotate injection sites weekly to avoid irritation.
• Support: Detailed instructions are provided with your first order, and our clinical team is available to answer any questions

Treatment begins with a low dose, increasing every four weeks to help your body adjust:

• Weeks 1–4: 2.5 mg once weekly (starting dose)
• Weeks 5–8: 5 mg once weekly
• Weeks 9–12: 7.5 mg once weekly
• Weeks 13–16: 10 mg once weekly
• Weeks 17–20: 12.5 mg once weekly
• Week 21 onwards: 15 mg once weekly (maximum dose)

Our clinical team will monitor your progress and adjust the dosage as needed to ensure optimal results. Each month we will send you a consultation request that will help you understand your choices . Then our prescribers will verify that you are on the correct dose.

Each pen contains four weekly doses — one month’s supply. The needle should be removed and disposed of after each injection. Doses are usually increased every 4 weeks until you reach your highest tolerated or target dose.

After 6 months on your highest tolerated dose, your weight will be reviewed. If you’ve lost around 5% of your starting body weight, you can usually continue Mounjaro® for up to 2 years with clinical monitoring.

Store in the fridge between 2–8°C. Use a cool bag when travelling. Do not freeze. Keep the pen capped when not in use and protect it from light.

NO ! Mounjaro® should not be used during pregnancy.

It may reduce its effectiveness. Use an additional barrier method (e.g., condoms) or switch to a non-oral option like an IUD or implant.If you vomit within 3 hours of taking the pill or have diarrhoea lasting more than 24 hours, contact your GP or NHS 111.

Yes.

You should use contraception if you are of childbearing age. Mounjaro® may reduce the effectiveness of oral contraceptive pills.

No. It’s not known if Mounjaro® passes into breast milk. To avoid potential risk to the baby, Mounjaro® should not be used while breastfeeding.

Yes. Mounjaro® is most effective when combined with a calorie-reduced diet and regular activity. Most plans aim for a 500–750 calorie deficit per day.

Wait at least 1 month after your last dose of Mounjaro® before trying to conceive.

If you experience ongoing nausea, vomiting or diarrhoea, speak to the clinical team. Your dose may be held or reduced. Never increase your dose during side effects. We will provide symptom tips and support for better tolerance.

Yes!

Your weight is reviewed with each order to check effectiveness. After 6 months on your maximum dose, you’ll need to show at least 5% weight loss to continue treatment.You can contact the clinical support team at any time if you have questions or side effects.
